Prayer Cross
Our prayer cross is made of wood and twine. It stands in the sanctuary by the front door.
The cards hold names of people in need of long term prayers.
If a name is taken off of our Prayer Cross, it is placed in a small wicker basket on our altar. It is kept in that basket until our Advent Season, and at that time, each name is carefully taken out of the basket and placed in a clear glass ball and added to our Celebration Tree which is displayed in our sanctuary during the Advent Season. Each name can be easily read as one passes by the tree.
Currently there are over 100 names of those in need of long term prayer on our Prayer Cross, and we invite you to share in this ministry. These are names not only of our congregation, but the community at large. If you or a loved one are in need of long-term prayer, please feel free to contact us and your names will be added to our cross.
Our Prayer Cross is updated daily, by our team of dedicated volunteers. This is one very important way, we here at Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church can reach out to others in need.
